Our last poll was a semi-copy of a poll at RPGDot, which makes it interesting to compare our "hardcore fan" opinion with that of the general fan.
The RPGDot results to the question "How do you feel about Bethsoft's Fallout 3 now you've seen Oblivion?" were 32% being optimistic, 18% thinking it'll suck, 17% thinking it'll rock, 16% unsure and 15% pessimistic. So roughly 50% positive and 34% negative.
You'd expect the opposite on NMA, but you'd be wrong. Our added poll option of "Fallout 3 has nothing to do with Oblivion" won in a landslide fashion at 30% of the votes. With the opinionated people, "I'm optimistic" was our winner too at 21%, followed surprisingly by "it'll rock" at 18%. 8% were pessimistic and 4% says it'll suck. Of all the voters, only 7% haven't played Oblivion (or they voted that they have nothing to do with one another). 9% was unsure.
Discounting our added options ("has nothing to do with" and "haven't player"), roughly 34% were optimistic, 30% say it'll rock, 14% pessimistic, 7% suckage and 15% unsure. 64% positive and 21% negative. Overall, our results look much more pro-BethSoft than that of RPGDot. Rather unexpected!
Our new poll is a simple general interest one. As fans of the post-apocalypse, what media tickles your fancy most. Games? Movies? Books? Let us know!
