ok... Could we- Drop the fallout 2 weapons set, and take the real-world weapons set? not to pry- but- It seems- more, psudo-real. Besides- Who wouldnt use an RT-20 on a mutie, from 2.7km?

You could, depending on the roleplay you want to create. Some roleplays don't have fallout weapons, some roleplays aren't about fallout at all, it depends on who creates and run the game. Your roleplay, your rules.

As a general idea sounds good, the problem is making the roleplay. If you work on it and develop a plot and a storyline we can discuss further. So, what are you waiting for?! Get on it!

Ok. I havent much to go on- other than one of the causes of the great war, was tension - one of the sparking mechanisms of the great war, was canada's annexation. Their arent too many details, so - I dont have a year. (Most of the Details I have actually came from Fallout 1's intro, and Fallout Tactics.)

American troops have invaded, and annexed canada, two months ago. The City, Onterio. Since the 21st Century, Onterio has become a glittering metropolis. After the Quebecua succeeded from canada, the canadian commonwealth fizzled out, bringing in a democrasy- that was backed by america, militerally. This lifted the economic controlls on the market, property taxes, and comodity price controll. This encouraged growth in the cities, bringing emmigration from america- and immigration to canada. The canadian population sky-rocketed exponentially, for a period of twenty years. Canada soon became one of the largest exporters of crafted goods, and the third largest importer of fossil fules. This attracted the attention of american leaders. Behind closed doors, the countries fore-most leaders debated annexing their neighbor to the north; bechause americas own resorces were dwendeling. Canada was a most valuable bartering chip, on the poker table of diplomacy. as it came- they finally were unanimous, on the need to annex canada; their was but one problem; a cause. the american public would not back such a hostile act; they needed a reason, for an invasion.
Norman Schwartscough III had a suguestion. A bombing. A bombing on an american city. This was met, with an applading audiance. The city of Ancorage would be bombed... by canadian "Terrorists". The bombing had taken place, leading to sperattic incidents involving bombings, fire fights, and other acts of terrorism on americans by "Canadian Terrorists". This was more than enough reason to invade canada, thought the american public. Little did the american public know, that the acts of terror, were commited by government trained "Black Ops" Agents. Two weeks after the first bombing, recrutment levels in the US Army had topped 2.3Million. 2.3 Million soldiers, waiting to take a swing at canada. The government had the reason, and the means to go too war. They only had to play the waiting game. Political accusations met question, after question. The animosity between america and canada, as the rest of the world watched. 12 mounths after the first bombing, american troops crossed the canadian border, meating medium resistance. two mounths later, canada was the newest province of the USA.

The city of onterio had become the center of american attention - martial law had been innacted. Onterio became very quiet.

((From here, It can be taken any way, as american soldier, or as canadian freedom fighter- IDK - Any suguestions? )

According to the GNN holodisk found in the Sierra Army Depot in Fallout 2, which admittedly is suspect and contradicts Fallout 1 in various places, Canada was annexed on February 14, 2075, which would place the start of the game in April 2075 if you go by this. This holodisk places the Chinese invasion of Alaska in October 2077, though clearly it must have taken place years earlier and was in fact one of the main motivations for the U.S. annexation of Canada.

Your idea sounds good so far, and I'd be interested in playing if you decide to start it. I've got an idea for a character: one of the Black Ops commandos who was part of the Anchorage bombing and has infiltrated the Canadian resistance to act as a provocateur to prod them into violent action when the U.S. higher-ups want to create another incident.
