News question

I wanted to ask you guys some questions, should we here at NMA post a daily update on the IPLY forums. ie all comments by the developers into a news post or should we only post about the "important" ones?. Post your comment in the news comments.

Stick with the important ones. That's kind of the point. If people want to see every remark, they'll hang about the IP board, no sense in making this a clone of that forum.

People read the news to be informed about the important stuff when they're too lazy/busy to check everything themselves...

I tend to agree with Kharn... The improtant posts are the important news. (Erg... That doesn't sound quite so right).

I disagree, slightly. As the adage says, "One man's trash is another man's treasure".

Obviously nobody cares when a developer replies with "Haha! Good joke, User1!" But when it's something along the lines of "That's worth considering" or "I disagree, and here's why..." it might contain information some people really want to know.

There's a thin line between getting the things everyone wants to hear and going overboard, and it takes a good news reporter to know the best time to stop posting quotes.

Perhaps, as a suggestion, you might try quoting the ones that sound particularly important and that the most people would be interested in, and then simply showing a list of links to the remaining developer comments. I think that way you could be certain to please both the short-on-time viewers, and the wanna-hear-everything ones, too.

I'd go with that
