it's ok - the neat thing about multiplayer is that each GBA has a different type of "radar" (best word to describe it) - once get can location of treasure, one gets the location of enemies, another gets the actual physcial map, and one get stats of an enemy when targeted (the radar you get is random for each player when you enter a new area).

so there is a lot of cooperative communication going on between players.

still, however, it is an action RPG, nothing really special gameplay-wise except for the teamwork and communcation between players. the story is OK. If you can find it used for like $15, it is probably worth a spin.

it's best played with 3-4 players. 2 players is ok, and probably easier to "manage" - but 3-4 players really shows how everyone can coordinate their attacks and movement.

single player, is a bit drab, however.
