Nuclear Targets in your state?

Junkmaster
Apparently FEMA has tried to figure out what cities are most likely to get nuked. Check it listed by states.

Is your home town big enough to get on the list?

Isn't it curious how a lot of nuclear targets seem to be in the middle of nowhere- like in the southwestern corner of Nebraska?

Be mindful of fallout patterns!

Check out the targets. Mind the hot spots when digging your fallout shelter.

I wish they explained their rationale for their targets. My town in New York isn't that big and yet they identify it on the map and have a bomb right on it. I wouldn't mind knowing why I'm getting 50% casualties :).

Defense of Civil Defense

I would guess that any FEMA effort that didn't have current DOD sources would use the maps published in the '60's and '70's adorned with the ancient talisman of CIVIL DEFENSE!

While in B'ham, Wa. in the late '70's discovered a reference volume in the public library. Had a detailed, state by state, array of primary, secondary,
and tertiary targets. The game was guessing what military base or defense plant justified the Rooskee's alleged Mutually Assured ... affection.

Maybe not for the B-1, or the B-52, maybe for the B-50!

Our 'group home' had a collage ranging through several rooms, local nautical charts, regional rock band posters,

(my fave graphic image was for D,B, Cooper ""well hung rock 'n' roll"' a skeleton parachutist with brief case dangling from a moon lit fir tree)

and a xeroxed copy of the the Pacific Northwest collection of ground zeros.

Yes, even 'eco-topia' did it's saber rattling bit for that grand, world wide siege that was Cold War One.

Damn 4too, I was just thinking about you today wondering where in tarnations you'd run off to.

Good to see your back though.

Back on topic.

MOMMY!

  well so far i'm safe except they would probably nail the sac airforce base here and or the old ammunition plant (nebraska) that would put out a huge bang since the ground is saturated with the chemicals from the old plant. but they will more than likely target the hardtarget missiles in soutwest corner and get send more than one which the first one will kick up enough dirt and sand that the next one to try and hit will be sand blasted to pieces before it gets close

According to that map, the area I live in is begging to be carpet-nuked.

Well, I guess I won't get the opportunity to grow up in a radiated wasteland infested with radscorpions and warlords while slowly losing my hair, skin, nails, teeth, and eventually life. Oh how I envy ye!

Yay for instant death by radiated fireballs from Hell!

They aren't from hell, most of the parts of the US's ICBMs are made here in Utah... uhhh... wait. Ok, hell. Carry on.

Interesting that Utah doesn't have that many targets. Like I said, most of the parts of ICBMs, many of the US's bombs, some parts of their jet's engines, almost all of NASA's solid boosters segments, all made here. Also, Ogden Arms Depot is one of the largest storage, disposal, and shipping sites for the US's nukes and bombs.

ewww

well i think those strike sites are just nuclear reactors and icbm sites so there might be more strike zones they dont want to tell you about

Looks like the Middle American gets nuked to death, the East Coast gets badly hit and the West Coast gets pinpricked a few times.

See ya in Hell John Uskglass!

Being that I live on the West Coast, I am feeling better.

Do you think this is why Fallout 1 and 2 took place on the West Coast? Humans had enough of a chance to mutate into gouls and the like...
