Oblivion is more popular than I expected.

First time out of the vault
It looks like Oblivion is that "good" other developers realized they would never be able to come close to its 'beauty', so they decided to directly copy its environments. Just look at these articles:

http://www.gameplasma.com/limbo_of_the_lost_or_oblivion.html (original article, seems to be offline now, probably too much hits)
http://kotaku.com/5015674/cheeky-pc-adventure-game-accused-of-grand-theft-assets
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=310683 (a forum topic about it, but it contains much information and screenshots. Tt looks like they didn't simply rip-off oblivion, but every other game in the universe)

I really don't now if this is funny or sad... :?

Kind of both; funny and sad.

Funny to see that a developer is so desperate that they would copy contents of the clusterfuck known as Oblivion for their own game.
Sad, that the world is lowering itself to this, copying from hack developers because creativity has really diminished.

Hey, it's not so hard to copy from Oblivion considering how generic it is. You might not even want to copy but end up looking like you did. Har-har.

Either way, whoever copies from Oblivion sucks. That's it.

Makes you really wonder what the fuck the developers were thinking. Did they really hope no one would notice that much blatant plagiarism?

Well, it was a point and click adventure game copying off of a game that is the exact opposite.

I'm guessing they weren't thinking at all.

Most likely they were just sitting in a closet eating rotisserie chicken.

I was just thinking: if they would make their games isometric instead, they wouldn't have this kind of troubles.

publisher has cancelled the deal (ohnose!)

strangely, this studio is a U.K.-based small company of 2 guys who are into adventure games since the amiga. cannot link that, interview was in german ~~

how stupid can you be. otoh, the trailers were very funny =)

Huh? How does isometric viewpoint prevent plagiarism?
Because it would look rather weird in this adventure-game to use isometric images instead of fp-images as a background.
