"oh my papa": Regis don't approach me! how can i s

Hi everybody,
I've a problem, I don't know how to start this quest, I spoke either with papa, karl and regis inside the longhouse, then i got out of the house and I expected Regis to approach me, but he didn't! I go outside, and nothing happen. I also waited several hours, but nothing
How can I start the quest then????? please help!!!!

It could be this bug as explained in the wiki:

[spoiler:7db88f4e45]If you trigger the dialogue where Papa refuses to break the alliance with the Legion BEFORE this quest is started, the option will NOT come back, as it seems to be a one time dialogue option, and so the quest gets locked and is unable to be completed because you cant trigger Regis coming up to you and making a proposal after you leave the Long House. For player using the console command resetquest 00140c3a will bring back all of the dialogue options needed to trigger Regis although some of them may still be "grayed out" cycling through all of them normally will allow the encounter with Regis outside of the longhouse. For the Xbox 360, you can still get Regis to trigger his dialogue, but Papa Khans question will still never show up again. Amendment: If you go at night and/or when Regis is not sitting at the table and talk to Papa, Regis will not give you the dialogue necessary to start this quest.

oh THANK YOU Farmerk, this is exactly the problem I have. I'm playing with xbox, so it means that I have no way to solve the situation? :( the only thing I can do is kill them all? or neither?
 
I don't play the xbox version so I don't know for sure but it looks like the only way to fix it is with console commands which can only be used on the pc version. Failing a mission really sucks, I recently failed a mission thanks to a bug where a woman said "Come outside and talk to me" so I followed her out and as soon as the outside area loads she dropped dead right in front of me and the quest failed, complete with that sound effect that's basically a digital "You suck as a human being". Just gotta grin and bare it. Not too hard in this game though.

As for what you can do in the area now, you'll have to see if someone else can answer because I haven't reached the khans in my game yet
 
I had the same problem, I just left the Khans alone.. I play it on the PS3. When you walk outside the building and Regis doesn't come, it's over. It sucks but you will remember it for next time :)
 
Only solution might be to either wait inside the house, some chaaracters re-load by waiting, or load a previous file.
