Old World Blues Kicking My Ass

Dr. Sep

Keeper of the G.E.C.K.
I don't know if It's because of my stats or what, but Old World Blues is giving me trouble. I went in with the automatic rifle and a 14mm pistol and have completely ran out of ammo. I've went through OWB on hardcore mode multiple times but this time its just a slog fest. I've been forced to use the ripper and the sonic emitter.

The hardest part so far was running through X-8 and being mauled by nightstalkers. Thankfully the stealth suit helped me avoid atleast a couple of them.
I've just had to play a little each day to eventually get through because it just burns me out to do too much. Right now I'm heading to the Forbidden Zone but I have to get past a couple groups of lobotomites and then it should get easier due to the lack of enemies in that area.

Currently I'm looking to invest in my melee skill once I level up as it is at 40, but I don't know how much good that will do when lobotomites rip through my armor and deal a quarter of my health bar worth of damage each time they land a shot.

What level are you? Buying ammo in that DLC is bullshit btw. You have to wait for a long time (longer than normal) and sometimes it has to be on the sink balcony and not in the sink. Then it’s like 20 .308 rounds or something. You’re going to have to overload the giant Scorpion too, can’t kill that with a ripper. Try using the cyberdog gun, .357 is kinda common there if memory serves. There also the CoS sniper by the camp. If your energy weapons is high enough, the LAER shreds, specifically Elijah’s.
