Will an athlete die during the Olympics, that's the question. I once saw an official take a javelin to the chest from about 70 meters distance, somehow he survived.

As Finland is the country of javelin throwers, I think I know which incident you refer to. There have been at least two such cases, in the other an official took the javelin in the ankle and in the other case a long jumper took a spear to the side. At about 2 minute mark in the video below. Not very nice for the javelin thrower either.



A woman cyclist fell pretty badly yesterday at the Rio games. Cycling is a sport where bad accidents can happen, and the crowd sometimes stupidly jumps near or even in front of the cyclists.

Edit. They keep deleting the Vleuken or whoever she was falling - video. Look it up, it ain't hard to do, homie.
