Olympus 2207 English Demo released

Olympus 2207 is a project by Rain man we have been following for a while. The Russian demo was released some time ago, but egalor has been hard at work behind the scenes to bring us the English version and this announcement:
Olympus 2007, while being more than just a yet another Fallout total conversion mod, is a post-nuclear game set somewhere in the US Silicone Valley. You take the role of one of the survivors of the global atomic war, taking shelter under an immense skyscraper that mysteriously survived the bombardment. Death or glory awaits... or is there no glory to claim?

The game uses Fallout 2 engine, however tons of visuals (including video, animations and static images) were done from scratch. The game also uses a lot of ambient music, which, in our view, nicely fits into the game theme. In this English demo you will be able to experience all of the above, as well as try out different paths to success.

Done all the music for Olympus but this is the first time I see it in action. Historic moment for me !

Impressive.

So much art was done for it that it doesn't even feel like Fallout anymore and I have to say that it's refreshing.

I've played russian demo and enjoyed it very much! Not it's time to see how much did I misunderstood it!

While I still have not finished the demo, I want to congratulate the developers of Olympus 2207 for its impressive art, good music and cool atmosphere in general. I saw the exoskeletons from Stalker as a weird feature, though, but nothing really bad about them.

However I have a problem while playing the demo, and it's speed. Models/critters (not sure how to call them), including the PC, move really slowly, and so does the interface (opening and closing dialogue, for example). I would like to know if there is a way to change this. I am using Windows 7 by the way.

Thanks in advance, and also thank you and congratulations again for your work.

The complete Russian version is going to be released tomorrow:

Игра готова. (The game is completed)

Дата выхода игры 26.12.2014 (Release date: 12/26/2014)

Sorry if necropost :)

Dayum! So now I just gotta learn Russian...
Do you plan doing english translation? Also I'd like to know how long is the game compared to FO2?

if there's english translation planned I can help with it. I have played demo version and this game is unbelievable, I can't even imagine how much work has been put into it.

What's the game-size estimate compared to FO2?

hard to tell, I've only played demo version and haven't finished it (I can't figure out the cows' illness), but it seems pretty huge, the graphics and maps look so good, music is fitting, the atmosphere is really dark and gruesome, not fallouty, but still great. the gameplay itself is rather boring in the beginning, but I guess it gets better further in the game. I will definitely give it a try when I find some time.

I'm glad the final version is ready! Now the question is "who wants to learn russian here?".

I'd love to, but I can't understand Russian, I think there are multiple people here capable of translating though, we should bother them.

The final version is ready, and there is already hotfix v1.03 for it, but still I admit that the game is pretty buggy. So the English-speaking dudes didn't lose much for now :)

Yet, it's obvious that a colossal work has been made.

There was also a statement from the team that an extended version of Olympus 2207 will be made 4-5 months later, we will see.

Translating 2+ mb of text may take a good while anyway.

I'd like to see how badly google translate would butcher that..
