Overheating GX card?

Right, well I fixed my problem. Turned out it WAS overheating. I just took off the side panel of my case and put a deskfan to blow on it. Now whenever I want to play games, I just turn it on and I'm fine.

Not ideal though, is it? Perhaps you should buy a third party heatsink matching your card. There very easy to install.
 
Well, well, well ... Seems like the clean install actually did the trick. No more crashes in at least two games, both of them notoriousl crashers in the old setup.

Still don't know what the actual cause was, but I'm happy. Well, I guess my brothers are happy. I'm not going to be around that computer much for the next couple of months, I guess. Anyway - hip - hip hooray!
