Ow. Sands of Time is...

Well the game didn't have a very impressive story, nor one to really make much of a movie out of so loosely basing it on it would be for the better. Really the only part of the plot that shined for me was the ending, a good little laugh and a good tie-in. Of course, that would be why I wouldn't base a movie off of the game but hey, whatever floats their boat. I'm gonna watch it for the sake of it (once it's on HBO), I count on it being Pirates 2 quality, which was pretty unimpressive (the original was the only one of the three that I would call good).

Watched the movie as well and I don't think it was bad. It has been predictable here and there, but still the ending was different than I thought in the beginning.

I think I liked the movie. It isn't a super big burner, but it's not that bad as well.

Also I never played any of the games, so I don't care about that and see it more like a kind of Pirates of the Caribbean in desert and not that good. :>

his haircut is just...just...no
and does he look persian at all?
Ive never met someone from persia, but i guess they would look like someone from turkey

Am I the only one who has a problem with this? These people are PERSIANS, not BRITISH. Why are there even British accents in the movie??

I guess according to the director, any foreign dialect could be used as a replacement for Persian accents.

Not only his haircut, Jake Gyllenhaal just looks plain weird as prince. His face doesn't go with the whole "muscle bound action hero" they made out of him here. He should play college students or some average weirdos, instead.

As far as him looking Persian, he doesn't look like a typical persian dude but he could definitely pass as one.

When it comes to accents, I couldn't tell what they were going for. It was more British than anything else but not entirely. They definitely should have worked that out a bit but at least it wasn't American. Also, I quickly forgot about it as I watched the movie.
