For those amongst our readers that have an Xbox, there is a video interview with producer Todd Howard and lead artist Istvan Pely available.
When the folks from Official Xbox Magazine (OXM) came to our office to cover Fallout 3 for their April cover story, they also shot some footage with Executive Producer Todd Howard, as well as Lead Artist, Istvan Pely. Originally, these interviews were planned to be included on the disc that comes with OXM. Instead, they were able to work something out with the guys over at Microsoft to put it up on Xbox Live.

So today, if you’re logged into Live, head to the Xbox Live blade, then select Inside Xbox to watch the footage. There’s some interesting stuff — plus it gives you a chance to see some of the OXM screenshots in HD.
Us PC grunts will have to wait for it to pop up on Youtube, I guess.

Thankfully, there is a summary of all new info here.
It is basically more hyping up the game and giving us information that we already know, and pressing the "A" button will make your character cry.
Amazing.

Actually, it is a really cool feature. Trust me, we'll all be thankful of being able to cry.

At least our in-game character will be able to share our pain as well. :(

A few years ago if you had told me Fallout 3 would be developed for, and marketed toward, Xbox 360 I would have laughed at you.

Am I crazy for being of the mindset that the franchise would be better off dead?

Here is my prediction. Ten years from now Fallout 1 and 2 will still have a loyal fallowing of fans, and the people that Fallout 3 is being made and marketed to will have forgotten entirely about it.

Considering that Oblivion was such a forgetful game that people stopped talking about it two weeks after release, yeah. Your prediction is going to be mostly right. :|

Ermm Oblivion is still talked about. Not that I think it is a good game, but there certainly is lot of people who do think so and the modding community seems to be quite active.

That's right. People still talk and play oblivion. It's a landmark for them, it seems. They do believe it's a good game. Of course, in ten years, they won't play it or talk about it, but that's logical, because PS3 and Xbox360 won't be the ultimate NEXT generation consholes...

Not...really.

What people light forget is that it took what...6 or 7 years before the mapper was released for Fallout?

The community was fine before then. Thriving.

There is no "Oblivion community". Both its lasting value and the existence of its community depend 100% on its modability. Obviously, this is for PC, the consoles community is finite by definition.

But it's true. They float on the game's modability for lasting value. Not that it really matters. It's a SP game, they can only sell it once. They don't care if the game still sells in 10 years time, as Fallout does now (I believe they're doing another reissue in Russia)

The collection (1, 2, Tactics) is still available in Australia, my housemate bought a copy for his girlfriend last week. I high fived him.

It's still available in a number of places.

That doesn't really match up with 1C doing an all new anthology version now.

I don't know of any other games that gets a brand new anthology release 10 years after date.

Lots of releases in Poland by CD Projekt (also known as the makers of The Witcher) as well.
