Then they are a bad PR guy - I'm a PR guy (not in the game industry) and while with holding info is done often, lies and antagonizing the press (and customers) only serves to do more damage.

Everyone understands that the fans of the Fallout series have expectations and are skeptical of where Bethesda can take this series - but give them a chance at least, rather than being negative from the offset.

Just my few words of counsel...take it or leave it.
I think people are willing to give them a chance, but it's BEthSofts own words tha have people concerned.

Exactly. They've put out a good deal of ambiguity and contradictiory statements which doesn't help the case any at all.

If someone would come out and say something solid without resorting to backpedaling or FUD it would be much more appreciated than the current information released.

I feel quite confident that bethsda will do some kind of money making project with the licence. Proberbly a third person action adventure game with a crummy story since they will be making on of there own. It will probarbly be written for the new targeted consumer a five years old brat with a PS2. And I don't think that anything we do here will have effect. Doubt that they even know of this forum. Maybe drop them a line about it...

not knowing about the biggest FO forum, aaaaaah good one, needed a good laugh

Well see this is whats most likely going to happen.

If Bethesda had other plans for F3 besides what the fans want primarily, they are most likely not going to get many sales. Remember Fallout is not some trendy and hip game. Its success has been and always will be dependent on a specific niche with NMA being an example. So make F3 worthy of being called Fallout and bought by us, some of the most loyal and devoted people of the series since its inception. We have stayed loyal to Fallout and have kept it alive much longer than it would have been without us.

As to the PR talk, haven't I explained this enough yet people refuse to read or understand what I have posted.

I say again.

PR is an extremely important and very sensitive job. In PR, people don't have room to "fuck up", or the press/public will eat them alive. I re-iterate this example.

1. Imagine what would happen if some PR guy at a large corporation starts spouting off clueless shit or misleading the very people whom they depend on for their sales and survival. Oh wait, we have two companies already, ENRON and INEPTPLAY. Last I heard, they were both up the shit creek without a paddle.

Good point.

They should replace Hines, if he's been making that shit up on his own because he's not someone I would truse 100% at the moment.

The balls in his court.
