Pick a World

Mildly Dipped
There are so many different kinds of Post Apocalypse worlds out there in fiction> I was wondering which one you would choose to live in if you were given the choice. Fallout world is not included among the choices because we already all know that we all would want to live in such a world.

Eight err Nine Choices.... pick one and say why you would choose that world.

1. Demolition Man (clean no cigs, no meat, all restaurants are taco bell)

2. Blade Runner (dark, sunless, dirty. crappy food, replicants to hunt)

3. Terminator (world where the machines rule amd they hunt down remaning humans)

4. Ice Priates (no water except for on a distant planet made of ice)

5. Tank Girl (all water is controlled by Water and Power, Rippers run amok)

6. E.E. Knight's Vampire Earth (vampires and reapers control the world. Small pockets of humans still resist. Others humans (quislings turncoat and serve vampires)

7. Titan A.E. (earth no longer exists and humanity is scattered among the stars)

8. Tantoonie Star Wars (before KOTOR Sand People's apocalypse)

Edit {sorry half asleep )
9. Mad Mac (eh no desc needed)

10. Waterworld (very little dry land)

11. Postman

12. The Stand (Post worldwide super flu epidemic)

13. Judge Dred (too many people packed into cities too small and crime is rampant, World outside city is almost inhabitable)

14. Any of the living dead type worlds as long as they are post apocalyptic

Blade Runner, ofc.

Titan A.E. had a great atmosphere and premise, unfortunately the movie ended up crappy.

EDIT: Where's the zombie apocalypse? I'd pick that too.

Is this picking a world for a game setting or a world we'd like to live in?

If it's to live in it wouldn't be Fallout's anyway but Bladerunner's, but then I like my creature comforts.

If it's for a game setting then Bladerunner as that would have the most variety.

Living in a noir setting? I'm not nearly so romantic, hell, that would be god-damn depressing! You couldn't walk down to the grocery without seeing at least a dozen J.C Denton wanna-be's

I also doubt harsh, unforgiving wastelands are for me and my soft skin.

I personally wouldn't mind living in a "The Postman"'ish world. Yea, that would be kinda cool.

Picking one from the list, "Demolition Man".

Edit: Actually, i would really like to be in the world of "The Stand". Given, i would be immune to the virus, of course.

Hey! Where's waterworld!?!? I would definitely choose waterworld if it even got the slightest recognition by you thugs. I like to sail. And I wouldn't mind being born with gills. I was born by the sea in real life so it's already in me blood.

If I can't have that I guess I would go for Blade Runner.

Everyone says Waterworld was crap. Can't really agree with that, while far from a masterpiece I found it quite solid and entertaining. The italian z-grade films from the 80's OTOH *are* crap, Waterworld is far better. Maybe it's just me...

I know its not on the List, but I would pick Night of the Comet, of course I would be one of the ones who had skipped the festivities and banged my old lady in a projection room to survive.

Reason why is that nothing is blown to hell. Everything is still standing. Just gotta do some serious breeding to bring back the population. That's my kind of post apoc.

Cheers, Thorgrimm

What's wrong with The Matrix? :P

All of humanity is enslaved by the machines, all major cities have been nuked and destroyed - the sky is blocked by a cloud of darkness..

Seems perfectly post-apocalyptic to me. :D

This is like the only one you could live in that is relatively peaceful. I'd pick this for sure.

Terminator! (the original story only) Yeah, and the humans finally turn them all into spare parts, that's why they send the terminator back in time in the first place, as the last chance to save their electronic asses.

Where did you hear that??? I'm a HUGE Terminator fan, and that isn't how it was in the movies....

According on what Kyle told Sarah on the original Terminator that the humans were wining, they got to their central base or something, then they found the time machine on that base and realized that they had sent the terminator to kill Connor in the past, then they sent Kyle after him.

I am going to review the movie to check the exact words in case I am mistaken (yes I can be, I am not such a huge fan that remembers every part of the script), I suggest you do the same, so you can properly correct me in such case.

Btw, T2 was fun and ok for me, but I truly hated T3. I only really like the first one, not so much the other two, specially the third one.

Omega Man stylish for me, please. (modified I Am Legend)

i can picture me perfectly living in a makeshift fort, sitting on an arsenal and hunting zombievampires for sport.
