Pick a World

Guess I would have to say the universe from the space sim I-WAR2 - Edge of Chaos. It's basically humanity living on the edge of known space, light years from Earth trying to scrape a living from a few barren rocks. Most of the population live on cobbled together space stations, whilst a couple of megacorporations try and screw everyone. There's space piracy, junk yards and all sorts of good stuff. Interstellar storms (or something) broke communication and trade links with Earth leading to a rapid decline, guess that counts as an apocalypse of sorts.

Also quite fond of the alternative Aliens history as per the DarkHorse comics. Earth gets over run, and humanity flees to outer colonies/space stations where mad generals generally seize control, and all manner of madness occurs in the name of freeing earth. Terminator, BladeRunner, Equilibrium, Mad Max, Jeremiah, Land of the Dead, Waterworld (shit film, good setting) all deserve a mention too.

But if I had to live in one, I guess it would be I-War, or Bladerunner - dying horribly doesnt really appeal to me :)

Tough call tough call.....
Well Demolition Man's benifit, all restaurants are Taco Bell, but sells shit food.
Land of the Dead for sure though.
Just too damn cool.

I myself would like to live in a Judge Dredd world and be a Judge... the idea of killing criminals just apeals to me.

Not to mention taco bell in the future really kicks ass.

Feh. None of those. I'd go for Red Dwarf. It counts. 3 million years in the future after an engine breach kills the crew, all human civilisation extinct.
Who wouldn't want an entire city-sized ship with every convenience possible to bum around in?

kinda depends on who is stuck there with you, i suppose ;)

Since I couldn't pick to live in the Fallout world; I would definately have to say Blade Runner, hands down.

1.Blade Runner. For one it's the only world of all of them where people actually live safely. Sure it's dark and dirty, but if you survive it's ok. Also with all the high technology in overabundance I bet electronics are very cheap. I'm not quite sure it belongs in a "post-apocalyptic" list though.

2.Waterworld. Beautiful scenery and plentiful fishing for all.

3.Outland from Warcraft (2, 3, and World of). It's got floating islands and clouds of errant magic creating constant hazard.

Sincerely,
The Vault Dweller

It could be tempting to want to get to an off-world colony in the Blade Runner universe.

I am very happy that it is more pleasant outside my house than in. Sunny and warm outside, compared to dark, damp and cold inside (which is partially fixed by gas heating, and would be further improved with decent lights and a coat of weather-proof paint).

I've always dreamed of living in a post-apocalyptic world filled with zombies, but that is kind of morbid.
I think the Postman would be alright. Going back to our roots and whatnot.
