Playing bass and singing?

It's pretty difficult. Any tips or advice? If I can't master both, should I just stick to vocals?

And to be honest I'm still learning my bass. But I'm trying to get singing and playing down. Without having to look at which string I'm fretting.

Why would you want to sing and play? Unless you're playing some simple punk/rock/metal, you should master the bass itself first. Know the rhythm and the groove.

Well i play some guitar and sing so I cna give few tip hopefully they will work. Feel free to ignore everything I say too.

Strap height is important what I mean is keep it the same and get use to it you will be able to find the notes easier.

Practice multitasking pretty self explanatory. When practise bass just practise talking at the same till that will help you improve alot

Most important step dont run before you can walk. Practise standing up playing bass because you cant sing sitting down well yeah but you know what i mean. Playing standing up is different. And I dont know it difficult at frist but that everything becoming easyier i just manged to do by literally playing guitar and talking. Thats how I learnt

Well, yeah, he can. After years of practice. I'm not saying it can't be done, I'm saying that mastering bass first is a better thing to do than go into multitasking.

Practice is the key. Practice your bass lines until you fully nail them, and then start adding vocals. Just talk to yourself at first, just try not to concentrate on the playing, let it be automatic.
Practice, practice, practice.
