Please Stand By

Well, glad to know I wasn't the only one who checked it at midnight, but nothing :(
Oh well, I got no trouble waiting for it in the morning. Way I see it, I don't remember a precise time ever being specified, so it could be any time tomorrow.
Happened with the official StarCraft 2 gameplay video as well, at least on the site in english.
With that in mind, isn't it a bit early for some people to make assumptions right now to pass off as the final word?

(an earlier edit said that 80 percent of the fanbase is boycotting the game... I don't see any of that. Not here at least)

The Teaser was released soon after midnight on June 5, 2007. The whole teaser was just an image displaying "Stand By". Fans of the series were disappointed however it is a "teaser". Hinting that the old fallout humour is still included in the new game.

That's odd, 'cause I *do* get the Indian screen, and there's no way my timezone is different from yours.
 
Well, I could imagine Bethsoft building up such hype just for a screenshot of the indian head... Excuse my anticlimactic rage.

Like I said, it's probably like the StarCraft 2 english gameplay demo. They released it on the day they said they were going to, just a lot later in the day.

I can't remember the last time I had a night of blissful sleep. Insomnia is par for the course in my case, tonight is little different.

This entire teaser to the teaser situation is a pretty blatant hype-building exercise. Distasteful, but there is a prevalent attitude that we all must bend to market realities.
 
Maybe this is just the beginning of the anticipation, and therefore, miserable failure of Fallout 3, that we all knew was doomed from the beginning.

They are just preparing us for misery from Fallout 3.

Oh right, and maybe if we refresh it enough, Fallout 3 will magically start playing. With the leprechauns and fairies!
 
1:55A here on the US West Coast. I have a feeling that we're not going to see anything until around another 8 hours -- around 10:00A Eastern time, give or take an hour or two, which is when people in Bethsoft in MD will be up and awake and at the office.

Just a hunch, but then what do I know. But Indian head logo is good, very good. My excitement has peaked. I'm ready.
