Ouch!
Scoring on your own team... happened to me all the time when I was a young boy. No one took the time to explain to me what the basic rules of soccer were, so I made up a set of my own rules which seemed pretty logic to me:
1. Get the ball inside a goal
2. Apparently any goal will do, since there is applause whenever a goal is made
3. Touch the ball with your hands if you want to pause the game
4. Since each player is apparently doing his utmost best to get in control of the ball and will try to hurt you if you are in control of it, try to avoid the ball as much as possible
and so on...
I guess I never fully grasped the concept of teamwork.
Most of the time I just stood next to my own keeper waiting for that lucky shot where I could get the ball inside the nearest goal.
For awhile, I tried telekinesis to get in control of the ball, but I found I was only making a fool out of myself.
That's when I started going to the library and stuff...
