post your fallout 3 story here

I can't say for sure whether you're a troll or just myopic, my good man, but regardless of how well you enjoyed the game, you really can't see how someone else might take issue with it? The fact that it was an incredibly superficial experience, completely lacking in depth, with shitty writing and horrible voice acting and some of the most galling logical inconsistencies in any AAA-game I've ever played had a lot to do with it for me.

Maybe it's a good thing I didn't play the game until the end of last year because, otherwise, I could understand why most of you would be so sick of the game. Yes it has limited quests. Yes it's not perfect. Maybe Bethesda didn't invest as much time into F3 as they should have, but I don't agree that that took away from the quality of the game. And if you really want to over-analyse things than of course the game's storylines are going to appear illogically inconsistent. I just enjoyed the game and the storyline because it wasn't overly complex and helped me escape reality for a little while. That's all it's meant to do. The way I see it is the whole point of entertainment is relaxing, having fun and not having to over-think things.

To this we rebuff with "Moff's Law": At some point during a discussion on a work in pop culture, the probability of someone stating a variation of "Why can't you just enjoy it for what it is?" in order to dismiss critical analysis is high.

There's an old argument about what video games should be - is it just entertainment? Or is it also art? Roger Ebert, famed movie critic, said no at first, then retracted his statement, and then said yes, video games can be art.

Of course, Ebert's a critic of movies - just as there are bad movies, there are good movies. And we're allowed to critique video games the same way.

Yesterday I was trying to round up a slave, mezzed a Raider and his head popped off. Then the rest of his crew showed up, one had a rocket launcher and killed my girl Clover. I was pissed, shot them up in a rage and mourned the loss of my crazy promiscuous slave. She was a wild one.

What, she couldn't take just one missile to the chest? Pathetic humans...

I know right! You'd think the average waster could take a missile and brush it off.
