Not sure if anyone's been following the Andoran mod:

Skyrim and Andoran have different accents, though they are both open-world RPG’s: while the former concentrates on action and visual component, the latter stakes on RPG-depth and quests’ nonlinearity, as well as on the untypical for most games approach to missions.

Currently half of the team’s backbone are gamedev professional

Looks interesting, thought some other people might want a look. Crazy the amount of work people put into these mods.

That recent interview with Todd Howard on things in Skyrim made me even more not interested in Skyrim.

This however sounds like it has a bit of potential.

Not to mention ... Russian.

Seriously. How comes all those "great" mods are Russian (or so it seems like).

That sucks for those which dont know shit about that language. Particularly since many of those mods get either no translation or ... one which is on my skill level in english ( I guess you know what means ).

Damn, Bethesda should hire these people. They did that with Oblivion?

Edit: It said in that interview that they focused on deep plot and freedom of roleplaying, so we already know this has Skyrim beat.

It's great work certainly, but they pulled in different mods and graphic extenders that have been developed in the years after Oblivion. People have done similar things with Morrowind to force it past the Oblivion level of graphics.

Some of this sounds like what Oblivion promised, like being able to solve quests like "steal the thing" in ways like "Befriend dude and ask for it" or "steal their food so they'll sell it to eat."

Sounds neat.
