RE: Don't worry:

Well, your right, most ppl wouldnt use it. Mainly religious ppl. And the makers would probably get threats from religous groups, which I think has already happened, or will happen. Of course, think what teleportation could do! It could be used for tons of things!
Just my 2 cents.

RE: Don't worry:

1)skynet... thats gotta be the first time i've ever seen someone quote a fake person from a computer game (godwinson is a faction leader in Alpha Centauri for those of you who dont know), even if they DO have some bitch'n quotes... its still weird.
2)you guys might like a short story I read by Stephen King, called 'The Jaunt' or something similar. I know thats how its pronounced anyway.
Anyway. the whole things about some device which moves matter into another dimension then transports it, then brings it back. for humans it seems instantaneous, but it actually takes millions of years or something. so if you go through it when your awake, you go compleately insane due to the extream isolation. its realy a very cool story, it was in one of his collections I believe

Actualy, they use the uncertanty principle to trade properties between two photons via a "middle man photon". This results in property transefer with no direct connection theoretically. I am currently attempting to find some more info on this.

By the way, I'm 13... (damn i love that number)

RE: Don't worry:

why wouldn't religous people use it? i consider my self religous and i see nothing wrong with it.

Wow, you must be unbelievably intelligent for thirteen years old, Cyberpyro.

What's even more runbelievable is that an eight-year-old could have also found that information if he was given the above information and was interested.

you guys mustve read Michael Criton's latest book Timeline too many times. I mean, that book was cool, but when it got into explaining all that quantum shit, i just skimmed the pages and got to the parts where people get there heads lopped off and other good stuff like that.

But I never read that book! And quantum physics is so unusual. You can get some very wierd effects that would normally defy the normal laws, such as the quantum tunneling microscope.
