Question: any critters in F2 with EMP grenades?

Hi all,

I may be releasing a new engine FIX for the damage calculation that does not require the modification of any original ammo .pro files, and yet fixes the overpowered nature of JHP ammo and the weak/useless nature of AP ammo. More details will come about this soon.

My current problem is if I release the FIX as it stands right now, I'm fairly sure it will cause all critters (including the player) to be effected by EMP grenades.

killap has assured me that there are no critter scripts that add EMP grenades to critters, but can anyone remember if any critters in the game have them in their inventory?

If there are then right now my FIX causes EMP grenades to be one of the strongest weapons in the game that could potentially be used against the player. :(
 
I don’t think there are any critters that carry EMP grenades in their inventory, but you might want to check the Enclave.
 
Why is it important that no NPC has it, but the player can? Wouldn't it work in the same way for the player as with the NPCs?

I was thinking that if I could not adjust my FIX for this problem then at least only the player would have access to such a powerful weapon. If there were critters that had the EMP Grenade then the player would have to keep that in mind.

Anyway, I think I may have found a way to add a check that isn't too complicated that will negate this problem.
