Well I got my self a Tablet from Wacom

Which is a pretty great toy so far I have to say.

Now I have been working for quite some time with Gimp. But I am actually curious if there are people with some experience around here which can recommend me some other programs.

I know of course the typical Photo shop, Corel Painter/Draw. But I am curious if there are another great free programs which can be used with a tablet. So I thought I might simply throw that question around here.

I think Blender is free. It's another image-shooping suite that does stuff. Getting a copy of some kind of CAD program, like Autodesk, that'd also be a good use for it.

Uh, Blender is a 3d modelling program. Not something to use a tablet with, especially with Blender as it has one of the worst interfaces of any graphics program.
Autodesk is the company that makes 3ds Max as well. :p
If you do want to use a tablet for modelling Mudbox is a good option, easy to use 3d sculptor.

I only use Photoshop with a tablet so not really sure on what else is out there. Gimps the best free one.

yeah but gimp seems a bit limited. For example some of the functions (like to zoom) are not supported by it. Not to mention the choices in brushes and such.

As said I would get one of the other programms. But they require a ton of money (hah yeah ... from someone who bought a tablet for 400$ )

And I am not ready yet to throw out money again before I have not checked some of the free options.
