10/10 for mooning a knight

Well is it used to aid in the storyline?
Well... This is david lynch we're talking about, where even the shade of color on a lampshade in the background has a huge impact in the story. It's been a while since I've seen it but, yes, the relationship between the two women is a huge part of the story, and the masturbation while crying is also a huge part of the story. I'll not say more to avoid spoilers... Fuck, even when you watch it in action it won't make any sense. Look up DL's list of hints card that came with the dvd and refer to it while you're watching. And expect to only understand about 5% of what the fuck is going on (dammit lynch, you wily bastard)
Edit: It took me a minute and I came across a lot of websites which ruin some moments so here, don't research more than this for the full effect:

1) Pay particular close attention in the beginning of the film: at least two clues are revealed before the credits.
2) Notice appearances of the red lampshade.
3) Can you hear the title of the film that Adam Kesher is auditioning actresses for? Is it mentioned again?
4) An accident is a terrible event . . . notice the location of the accident.
5) Who gives a key, and why?
6) Notice the robe, the ashtray, the coffee cup.
7) What is felt, realized and gathered at the club Silencio?
8) Did talent alone help Camilla?
9) Note the occurrences surrounding the man behind Winkies.
10) Where is Aunt Ruth?
