one thing that makes me feel old is bomb-drills
i talk to youngsters now, and they have no clue what the hell im talking about, but the whole school would assemble down in the bomb shelter
"what bomb shelter!?"
"trust me. your school has a bomb shelter."
"no it doesnt!"
"yes. i went where you go. next to the gymnastics room, that huge, 5-tonne metal door, that is always locked."
"oh... that."

my old apartment blocks also had bomb shelters in the basements. me any my friends would sneak in there, and look for discarded porn
