a couple of questions about redding:

1. Can you talk to Frog Morton before his gang initiates combat?

2. Can you sell the Wannaming mine to anyone except mayor ascorti?

3. Is there an ideal way to sort out the barfight cos every way ive tried hasnt overly impressed the sheriff

4. How do my actions affect the town in respect to the other towns trying to take it over, such as helping the mayor or selling the excavator chip.

5. Also does the doctor have any effect on this as he seems involved but there isnt much you can do with him.

6. I found 2 excavator chips but could only sell one... is it possible to sell them both?

To correct details:
3. No.
- Kill both, sheriff pissed because you took out good miners
- Kill 1, you favored one AND killed a good miner
- Get one in prison without a fight, still loose good mining time, and favor one of the mines
- Get both in prison, sheriff pissed because you're holding 2 miners... Annoyink no?
Unless I missed a way to get them both out of trouble without a fight, but last time I remember trying that route besically the Sherrif ended up telling me I did nothing and doesn't reward me.

4/5. Don't remember which is which but there are 4 factions: Mayor, the two mining towns and the Dr. The mayor wants to team up with New Reno, while the Dr with Vault City. I can't remember the two mining Cos - and in fact from what I remember even the scripters were confused as asking different people told you they were affiliated with different town. The end script might be bugged for those two.
Give no mining chip, seel mine to mayor -> New Reno
Sell chip to miners -> Don't remember talk with them...
Bring cure for Jet (and return tot he main map at least 1 day later -> Vault City.

If you don;t like vault city you can still get the XP for curing the Jet addiction simply by never returning on the main map once you've given the antidote to the Dr.

Can't you hold the A key when exiting a conversation or whatever to initiate combat first?
