Restoration Mod issues

Evil Banana

Still Mildly Glowing
ive seen on youtube a dude play fallout 2 with resotraiton mod and when he opens his character panel it asks him for character style and some extra options..but for me none of those appear and im using the same version of the mod for me its just normal character panel, idk if anything else from the mod isnt working the characters change armors and everything altho id like to be able to keep my tribal look just to add a suggestion at the end..or is that allready possible i wouldnt know

Maybe you left character style unchecked when you installed the RP?

Try doing a fresh install of Fallout 2 then download the restoration project and READ every single optional feature CAREFULLY.

And no, I'm pretty sure you can't have tribal skin after the temple of trials.

yeah im reinstalling as we speak and i double checked..also if its significant im running it on Linux

I wouldn't know about that, I'm still getting used with the fact that Linux is an OS and not a gadget penguin.

I've only used RP in windows so I can't help you there.

yeah me too..im far from a virtual drives expert..i can barely understand the terminal..its a miracle i even got wine running let alone running anything with it

You need to install the Hero Appearance Mod, if you want to change character style (i.e. haircut). Normally, it should be on the optional content list in the RP installer. I don't know if Linux has anything to do with it.

As for keeping the tribal look after the temple of trials, it is possible by tweaking sfall settings, although you still will change appearance when you put on armor, and when you're wearing no armor (i.e. you have the tribal look), you can't use any weapons other than the spear and unarmed (fists, brass knuckles, etc.), or the game will crash.

Yeah, there are no gun/knife frames for the tribal...
