Hey my fellow ghouls.
A while back I did a legacy playthrough of the series, with thousands of screenshots as memories. And then my hard-drive decided it didn't like me anymore and wanted a divorce, and thus I lost them all. So, I have started again, resolving to do a better job this time, and back it all up two or three times. However, in 'doing a better job' I'm also thinking how certain things fit, or don't.
One big question is; is it 'safe' when trying to play canon to use the Restoration Project in FO2? After all, quite a lot of the concepts from EPA were reused in Old World Blues and Dead Money, and if nothing else might feel a bit redundant. And things like Ian turning up as an old man, when if we ever delve that far into the past, it may turn out the Vault Dweller's memoirs are considered the go-to source. What if an elderly Kurisu turns up in 'New Vegas 2'/the next West coast game, and it turns out Sulik never found her.
Ultimately these are things that I doubt, and hope, will never come up. But I can't know it, and being a little on the obsessive side it would 'ruin' the play-through for me.
...On the other hand, I do love the Restoration Project, and I want to use it. I like helping Sulik accomplish his quest. I like the Abbey. I especially enjoy Kaga's constant reappearances, as it feels like you have a rival of sorts, and that he is adventuring at the same time as you.
If this were you, trying to play as lore friendly as possible, what would you guys do?
