I may or may not have decided to buy For Honor because I really liked the character models and (video) gameplay of the characters, especially the Orochi. However, my experience with the game may or may not have been much more lackluster than I had hoped.
The gameplay is what bothers me the most. I know it was intended to be a fast reaction game, but the way it was implemented just feels so clunky and repetitive. Trying to block and parry (especially when you have multiple people on you) can just be retarded. Whacking someone else only for them to block (again, and again..... and again), just gets pointless. I'm not talking about actually having a good defense strategy, but actually trying to fight another player can be so tedious.
Maybe I'm just really bad at the game..
What I did love about the game, though, was the design of the characters (especially the Samurai faction and the Knight faction), but that wasn't enough to save it for me.
I guess what I'm asking for is for some suggestions for games where I can play a Japanese style character (ninjas are #1). I've been wanting something new for a while now and I really enjoy Japanese themed games.
