The fine folk over at Oblivion Lost have an update on the status of the X-Ray engine, behind the upcoming game S.T.A.L.K.E.R., from one of the developers..
We have a small status update of the engine. As Oles Shishkovtsov, leading programmer of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, told us, the development of the X-Ray Engine would be finished in December of this year. Therefore, a release in may 2005 seems very probable. Currently, the only problem, according to Oles, is, as already known, the debugging of the life simulation system, because no situation is hardly re-produced exactly 1:1 again.
Good to hear, let's hope Oles is correct in his estimate.
