Septerra Core, anyone?

First time out of the vault
Anyone played and liked or disliked the game? I remember in Poland it came with the magazine Komputer Swiat Gry few years ago, I liked it back then and I'm playing it again now.

No where near to what Fallout is like, its almost like a console RPG fit on a computer screen. But I think its a fine turn based (all tho the fighting system is rather strange) iso metric RPG. I just don't like the fact that its very heavily influenced by anime.

Anyone heard of or played the game?

I played it all the way through.

Gameplay - 8 or 9
Story - 6 or 7
Replayability - 1
Mature Content - 0

It's a good RPG, I just didn't like the story too much. The setting is cool, but it could've used some mature content. You get several party members and the combat is turn based.

Never played it. I have played the 'post in the right parts of the forums goshdarnit' game.

Ironic that this should come up and very good.

A few years after I bought Fallout I saw Septerra Core and realising it was both an RPG and from Interplay I had to buy it. For some reason I played it an hour and suddenly wanted to do something else. Since then it has sat in my collection for about seven years. I think I'll try it soon now that I see a good recommendation.

Sincerely,
The Vault Dweller

Hmm... it was distributed by Interplay, though published by Monolith and developed by the defunct Valkyrie Studios.

It is a decent game, a Western copy of jRPG design. I found it neither particularly good nor bad, though the pre-rendered backgrounds can be quite pretty. I would recommend it if you don't have anything better to play.

A friend of mine played that thing back when we were 14.

He used to get angry at me for impersonating the anime spells in a particularly gross manner.

Come to think of it, that thing along with Dragon Ball Z might have been the very roots of my adamant hatred towards anime.
