DumBunny

First time out of the vault
1) Is there a clock in the game that will tell me if it's night or day?

2) Is there a way to make the screen lighter, it's hard for me to see as dark as it is.

3) Where would my PC find armor?

4) Is there a way to tell how much weight she is carring?

5) Is there a way to read books?

6) Is there anywhere on line that I can get a manual and/or a stratagy guide?

Want me to play the game for you too ?

1. Pipboy
2. Settings
3. Inventory
4. yup
5. yup

Try searching a little before asking. The manual should be on the CDROM also and in our files section. Strategy guides are located in our article section for Fallout 2..

Next time I won't be so gentle.

If I could find where the setting where, I won't need to be asking would I?

If this is the way people are treated on this board, it's a mirical anyone botheres to play the games.

there is a marvelous thing called "the manual".

the quest to find such a marvelous and epic item can be hard for some people...

And then there's the F1 button which gives you quite a bit of information as well.

Really, NMA encourages intelligence and attempts to find information on your own. If you had searched even a little bit you would've found that information in no time. Running off after three minutes to ask questions is not the same as searching.

Can't find the manual = Stupidity. Oh, he's from Alaska.

For example the manual can be found here, at NMA.

Just for the record, I have done searches on several topic, but when you get 200 hit on "reload weapon" and none of them tell you HOW to reload a weapon, why bother.

I'm sorry I am not the GREAT gamer the rest of you are, I do have a life off my computer, and can't spend all my time playing games.

If you don't want to answer stupid questions, don't, just move on to something else.

But, I'll lay dollors to donuts, that when you first started playing RPG's you have a few qusetion, too. And someone out there was nice enought to answer them for you.

Using porfanities and name calling just show how uneducated and immature you are

reload wepons

Yes, I have already done a "search" and have come up with nothing. So, I will ask my stupid question, and get a lot of rude answers, but hopefully at least one helpful one.

How do you reload a weapon? I'm sure it's something simple I've missed.

FYI, I don't usually tell people this, but several years ago, some really stupid Doctors game me the wrong meds, and I now have short term memory damage. I have a harder time then most remembering thing, I have to do something 1/2 a dozen times or so before I remember how, ( at least new things) once I have it figured out (and in long term memory) I'm fine.

Click on the weapon in the GUI till it says reload and then click again...

All this stuffs in the manual that can be found here or after a search on google i believe.

In the future just add a reply to your other post, dont make a new topic

Go here for the manual to Fo2, the Fo1 is located in Fallout 1 -> Misc..

Had you read that manual, then you would have understood how easy the game is to play.

Steal, try to play the game a little and read the manual before posting.

Hmmm... Sorry Odin, DumBunny's posts seem like straight up trolls to me... How dooes someone with a short term memory problem stemming from "the wrong meds" even remember that he HAS a problem reloading a weapon in fallout, much less PLAY ANY fallout game? Which... As i recall, required you to AT LEAST remember what the hell you were doing.....

Could be that i'm wrong, but this smells of flamebait to me.

Look at my location and ssay that again... I dare you... Mind you that I'm not "from" alaska, But I have spent 2 years of my life here and 99% of the people I've met here are normal "intelligent" people.

If this moron is a drunk ass native, thats different, but he seems way too lucid to be a drunk native.... and he makes sense for more than 10 seconds.

It's cutting it close, ie Dumbunny needs to sit back and read the manual before asking any more questions.

I see not how being a "GREAT gamer" makes you "spend all [your] time playing games". Makes me wonder how come I have children then.

1) Is there a clock in the game that will tell me if it's night or day?
Pipboy, also when the screen is dark and has shadows it's usualy night or in a cave.
2) Is there a way to make the screen lighter, it's hard for me to see as dark as it is.
options/brightness
3) Where would my PC find armor?
in a shop, sometimes lying on the ground if lucky
4) Is there a way to tell how much weight she is carring?
look in inventory, listed there
5) Is there a way to read books?
open inventory, rightclcik/hold/select the 'use' hand
6) Is there anywhere on line that I can get a manual and/or a stratagy guide?
yup, try using a search engine or looking thru NMAs files section.

Well I guess that DumBunny belongs to that 1% category then.

Maybe you wouldn't have to ask such a stoopid questions DumBunny, if you HAD read the manual in the 1st place. But seriously if you can't FIND the manual, then you are beyond stupidity.

And yes, when I started playing computer RPGs I didn't have to ask stoopid questions, because I read the manuals.

But my apologies if you felt that my post hurt your feelings. I promise I shall not do that again unless you make another stoopid question. Mmmkay?

No, I am not a "drunk ass native", I am a 52 year old white woman who has short term memory damage because some stupid "Doctor" gave her the wrong medicine.

I am not real good with computers, I haven't had mine that long, and I don't spend a lot of time on the internet, and still haven't gotten all the in's and out's figured out.

And when I ask about a manual and stratagey guide, I was not clear enough about what I wanted, which is to purchase a hard copy. Tring to read it online, then go back to the game I run into that short term memory damage thing. Once I've done things a few time, which puts it into long term memory, I remember it just find. It's flustrating enough to go from having a retention rate of 50% to 60% (normal is 30% to 40%) to about 15% without having to deal with norrow-minded fools on top of it.
