This looks to be a cool game, both in setting and gameplay, coming out this fall (hopefully!). It's a turn based strategy game à la kind of Civilization/Axies and Allies but looks more user-friendly (yeah, I want to have fun, not solve a differential equation every time I boot up a game, so kill me), about a second civil war in the States in 2014, following a Bush-like coup (yes, the satire and criticism in the game is so apparent it's sickening). So bla bla, Washington DC gets blown to bits, U-ropeean peacekeeping troops are sent in, 7 different American coalitions fight for power. I'm looking forward to it. I hope they'll have naval battles though, with aircraft carriers and such.

It might suck though, as they're making an sexbox version too (for now).

You Europeans just want to see the USA destroyed that much dont you? Thats ok...the reasons (in the game) seem plausible enough.

Sincerely,
The Vault Dweller

See the US destroyed? The EU troops in the game are sent in for peacekeeping, not conquest. Well, that's what they're meant to do, anyway. I'd like to know which American faction has pink as a color though. California?

I might get this just to slaughter any European who ever thinks about invading the United States, ever.

It's actually kind of funny when you think about it: this game's future is the exact opposite of what will happen: the EU will dissolve into feuding, genocidal, Balkanized states while the United States will just occupy the cool cities and laugh at our European enemy.

We can only hope that Alaska rises to crush the infidels of the south for squandering her precious resources in the past. Alaska Ueber Alles!

The relative sizes of the units and environment makes it seem a bit cartoony, but the graphics are good and the premise seems solid. I'll definitely check this out.

The cities look pretty awesome, even if the soldiers are 6 stories tall.

EDIT: Here's some more stuff I found about the game:

I was hoping there would be a greater number of terrirotries than this. Would it be too hard to make each state a territory? Or split it up similar to what they did in Heart of Iron?

These are the factions:
  • California Commonwealth
    Pacifica
    Republic of Texas
    Great Plains Federation
    The Confederacy
    New England Alliance
    the European Union.
