Not "You're too far to start conversation"!

Seriously, that's stupid and annoying. You can make the character walk to the NPC the player clicked on instead of this, no?

I want this so much I could live a whole month on only crackers if I had to....

This is like Fallout 4, for people with half a brain or more!
Just the update on the map mechanics is astounding.
Wish they would put out a (hopeful) release date.

I also surprised that there are so few replies to this ?
Or am I just too hopeful in believing it will release at all ?
 
I think it's more that we all know Shelter, and these screenshots don't necessarily show anything new. Expect more feedback once they start implementing new graphics.

That was the first solution. The problem is, some guys' alignment toward you may change, which makes them open fire if you approach them (with a weapon out, if neutral; in any condition, if hostile).

Since the moment you click on them, it will become a "reaction game" where they go "stand back" and you go "oh shit" and stop your character in time, if you're lucky.

Thats why Shelter right now has Diablo-like movement, where the character stops immediately when you let go.

Fallout-like "screen scroll" movement is only activated during combat.

Obviously we're still refining all the mechanics, and sometimes they get rewritten entirely.
