Should I even show up to court?

Sonny, I Watched the Vault Bein' Built!
I scored another summons a few months ago, this time for trespass. My court date is coming up soon but i have yet to decided if I'll be making an appearance, there are a few sensitive factors that would be simpler just to ignore. However ignoring a summons could result in possible problems in the future. Here a summary:

I was handcuffed, the cops found every kind of card with my name on it except my real ID. The summons was written out to my fake ID which has a fake ID number, address, date of birth but it is my name. The ID has been destroyed.

Should i go to court or ignore it and in the event of getting another summons say that some asshole just used my name?

Also if your interested in details read my blog its a good one.

Do I look like a sexy hamburger to you? well i am sexy but thats for another time. The fake id had my actual name on it.

btw: This happened in the state of NY

I am a bit confused. Is the court summons for you or a fictional person with your name?

For example if your name is Jack Handy, or Jimmy McShitz or Dumb Ass, with a bad ID number and a bad address, than it might be difficult for them to distinguish you from another Jimmy McShitz, Jack Handy or Dumb Ass.

Of course if you go to court and the cop can ID you, then you're fucked.

No, they have his real name and a fake adress.

It's a bad idea not to show up, dude. The court can look you up pretty easily, and you've got more to lose/ risk more by not showing up than by showing up.

Unless your name is John Smith, but then again tracking the IP of your myspace entries already gave away your real adress.

So go.

I think the real question, actually, is whether or not you should continue living your life of sin. Do you recall the Lord's Prayer? "Forgive us our trespasses" is a line from it, and one which you should consider. Know also that in the Bible, effeminacy is laid down clearly as a sin punished by the eternal torment of the flames of Hell. As your brother in God's love, I must beg and pray that you go ask forgiveness from the Lord our God.

Peace be with you.

Bragging about it on myspace is definitely a good start.
Most people find my blogs to be entertaining, give it a try sometime.

It’s for a fictional person with my name that a bit older and from out of state. As for the cops, I would not be able to ID them at this point, think about how many summons they gave out in about a 3 month span.

the real question is this:

if you DO show up to court, should you wear pants?
I might show up with nothing but combat boots, a cowboy hat, and that chick’s thong to hold my credit card. Were you around for that pic?

But the ID number and the date of birth are false, its like imagine if someone got a fake id with your name on it and got caught doing something stupid. Also I’m sure as you’re reading this someone is getting a summons for the same thing. I don’t think myspace blogs are substantial evidence, I could always claim that their fiction.

Anyway, I appreciate all the responses but this is something that I have to dwell on. If I do go to court I might jeopardize my friend’s job, which is the last thing I want to do.

I wouldn't go. What's the worst that can happen, they put out a warrant for your arrest? And really it would just be a bench warrant, which would mean you had to pay a certain amount of money to get rid of it, and then have your day in court some time in the future.

F the police

I say if you go, you face fines for an illegal ID.

If they have no way to find you or find if it is you, don't go.

Most people on myspace are retarded, give it a thought sometime.

Most people in general are retarded, whats your point? Myspace is an awesome social network if you filter out who you add. But yeah i've never expected that a pic comment could make some people so happy.

Just accept the fact that you did something stupid, take the fine and leave.

Not showing up will result in more trouble. It's not like the police is forgiving. If you're on camera and got caught they'll find you.

If they have your name and a fake ID number, they'll first run that through the computer, and they'll see they don't match (the name and the number). Naturally, they'll try to contact they person with the adress/number that is fake, because it would be easier to locate. Once they'll see that all they have is someone who is not you (a woman, an old man, someone who is dead or doesn't even exist) all they'll have left would be a name. And your approximate age. Then all they'll have to do is search the database for someone with your name and age, in the area where you live. How many people with your name and age do you think live in your area?

What Blakut said...

Also, what do you face for trespassing ?

[offtopic]xdarkyrex, your sig is one of the coolest shit I've ever seen[/offtopic]

Show up man, my friend had a similar problem, he didn't show up and got into a lot of trouble. The id has a picture of you on it right? your real given name? Then they already have pretty much all they need to track you down. It only takes a yellowpages.com search to find out who you are anyways.

Unless you have a really generic name.
