Should I left Lily dead?

Humma Kavulaaaaaaa
This happened to me when fast-travelling to Jacobstown. The Cazador that usually spawn next to Marcus this time appeared next to Lily. Needless to say, she fighted the beast with melee weapons and actually kill it, but since she was stinged a couple of times, she died.
My intent was to do the quest "Guess Who I Saw Today?" and almost loaded an earlier save, then thinked to myself "ok, let's see what happens".
I recovered the damaged stealth boy, but Dr. Henry tells me that Lily died, so he can't do the tests he was planning. The quest sucefully ended, earning me 450 XP.

This probably means that Jacobstown endgame slide will not be a good one, since the cure test wasn't done and Keene wasn't talked (or killed).

But...should I load an early savegame or not? Latelly I'm playing NV with the rule that if a companion dies, it stays dead. Point.
Sure, it wasn't my fault and you can call it a bug, but bad things happens to people sometimes.
Like a father walking to his home for celebrate the birth of his child and is hitted by a drunk driver, passing away (yeah, it's a fuck up scenario, I do not wish this happens to anyone).

But this begs the question, should I load an earlier save or not?

Well, that IS a Bug, I don't have that bug myself, I have never had a creature spawn inside of Jacobstown, guess I am just lucky. But in that situation and under those rules I would load a previous save, I think it's just fair.

Sure man, IT'S A BUG, but if the AI was a little tunned she would've used her Assault Carbine instead of her Vertibird Blade and kill the Cazador without so much fuss.

If you think realistic, she deserves to continue dead.

What's the fun in an insane Nightkin granny using a boring old gun to kill a giant spliced killer insect of ass kicking, when she has a sword made out of a VTOL propeller?

Also, it's your game and your rules, but I would not have let a bug (in more ways than one, too) rob me of Lily. Again, your call.

Just let her die, it's not like she's an essential figure anyway. Having her breathing down your neck is damn annoying.
