So the entire movie is A Dame to Kill For?

I suppose its better than a screen adaptation of To Hell and Back.

That'd be cool. I love A Dame to Kill For.

I'd like to see them incorporate a couple of short stories, as well. Something like what they did with The Customer is Always Right in the beginning of the first movie.

Yes! I completely agree. A dame to kill for is by far my favorite. Hell and Back would be interesting to see because of the visuals. All those psychedelic color scenes. The ending was kind of weak, IMO, and it would probably seem worse on screen.

My only problem is that I didn't have the ocasion to buy the novel in store...
It's hard to do so in Poland without using Internet... :(
    Hope they'll be marvelous! ;)

Didn't like A Dame to Kill for. The protagonist is so pussy-whipped.

Yeah, but he still kills her dead.

It's all about Male Empowerment, see.

In a sense, yes. He finally get his revenge. But it's more Mikey Spillane on steroids than about Male Empowerment.

I mean any guy that needs to get empowered by whacking some chick is a pussy.

And the new face didn't do it for me. He went from a Wrestling reject to an Italian playboy. Next stop Georgio Armani.

The guys is all about being pussy-whipped.

If you like tough guys Brady- read the Robert Crais Elvis Cole stories and try out Pike. Pike could kick that chump's ass.

yea, I'd love to see it.

I saw the movie last night at a friend's house. I'm not one to advocate piracy, but I would have had to wait until it came out on DVD normally to see if not for piracy!

While I don't really doubt it, that wasn't my point. I didn't really have a point, actually. That's because I was joking.

The purpose of A Dame To Kill For can be summed up thus:

    "Bitch deserves to die."

The reader wants a dead bitch, and he or she is delivered thusly. Everybody goes home happy, except those that were expecting something more complicated.

As if there could be any alternative. Sure, Dwight could just end up dead, but that just wouldn't fit Miller's overall theme. Plus it would piss off his readers, because he involved them in a plot just to have the protagonist die like a bitch.

What good is a hero if he doesn't prevail? It isn't hard to determine the outcomes in Miller's story. What's fun is coming along for the ride, and seeing how things play out.
