So anyway, the on-campus bar has cut me off from booze even though I'm NOT DRUNK. I swear to god, I'm only slightly tipsy but the proprieter has cut me off because supposedly I'm too drunk.

This is complete bullshit. At the most I'm slightly tipsy, but shit. All I've had is like 3 jugs and a few pints. These guys are assholes.

Have any of you guys been kicked out of nightclubs/bars for being too stoned/drunk when you haven't been (or have, I don't really care)?
 
Well, I got kicked out once because my pal's acquaintance was sh*tfaced. Group responsibility.

Also, when you're drunk, you always think you're the most sane and logical preson in the world, which you're not :D
 
Heh, I remember when I was shitfaced once at the University bar, there's a little den around the back of the main bar where you're meant to go if your on the verge of alcohol poisoning, anyway, my mate took me back there because I was completely gone (didn't think so at the time) and went to get me a glass of water, however little did he know a member of the University staff had found me and had taken me to the down stairs bar in order to get the same thing. Of course me being in the state I was in I'd completely forgotton about my mate about 30 seconds after he left. He spent the next 20 minutes wandering around trying to find me, he thought I'd fallen down the stairs or something. After that we left the University and went to a bar across the street, needless to say I was denied entry :(.
 
In all seriousness though, I haven't been more than tipsy.

I mean, I'm an aussie and some poofta British cunt that owns that bar the is ON THE PROPERTY OF THE COLLEGE THAT I LIVE ON has kicked me out. All I've had today is 5 beers, two jugs and four pints. I'm a largish (bluky) sort of guy and that's only enought to get me fucking tipsy.

This pommy bastard also owns the restaurant that is ajoined to the bar and I always used to spend atleast $20AUS at that place a week. Let's just say that in the 4 years that I'm staying there (and I really love this place), he is not going to get a fucking cent off me now. That's a solid two grand he's lost for being a cunt and making an example off a tipsy guy that wasn't yet drunk.

Fucking poms.
 
I've been kicked out of the bars for every damn thing under the sun including being drunk even when i wasnt. you just gotta say fuck it and find another place that will serve you and in flagstaff it's usually right next door. I will say that if you go to a place often enough and meet the people that work there then they will treat you 100 times better. I could throw a beer in someone's face at maloneys and probably not get kicked out.

Have I cut off people from alcohol in the place I work at? Of course.

You're looking at it all wrong, Specialist, and your anger is completely misplaced. But hey, if you want to be all grudgy about it, go ahead, believe you me, you're not going to run him out of business, you're just going to shy yourself away from an oppertunity to have a good time just where you've always had it.
 
I've never been kicked out of a bar as well. Even when we DO get too drunk, me and my friends have always been smart enough to have a sober one escort out of the bar the ones who start showing advanced "symptoms" of drunkenness before we are noticed and/or kicked out.

Not that the bars I usually go to would ever really kick someone out for being drunk, anyway...

gotta agree with Kharn: better cut off someone too soon than too late.

and yeah, get to know the people at the bars you visit. when they start knowing you, they'll understand you can handle your liquor (or not) and keep serving you after their usual limits (or not).

they do for me anyway...

In all seriousness, his bar would not make enough money to stay open, over here, if he kicked out all the drunken people. I've yet to see one "tipsy" or sober person in a bar after a certain hour. We Brits do not know how to drink sensibly, we just seem to get sloshed and stagger to the taxi rank. Apparently our ex-pats rebel against this.

I've know quite a few people who have a few at home to "get in the mood" and are half-cut (or worse) the moment they step out of their door.
 
Bar owners should treat the drunks the best of all. They make all their money on us. First off, we buy a majority of the alcohol but more than that... we get all fucked up and they can charge us whatever they want - its not like we can dispute the bill in the state we're in. And then, after we get ripped off.. we come back.
 
Plus, the cool drunks like us attract beautiful women to the establishment.

Don't forget that.
 
What uni are you going to? Because from what I've seen of the popular Melbourne and Monash bars you're not gonna get kicked out for being drunk. They were total chaos when I went in there.
 
I was permanently banned from a bar purely by association. My friend who was quite pissed, deicded to take a piss standing at the bar because it would take him to long to go to the bathroom because the bar was packed. Then in his drunken logic blamed me and my 5 buddies for us getting perma banned.

Nobody should ever try to keep a man away from his drink... that shit just ain't right :roll:

I only got a two week ban from a rock club once and it was because of a friend who got plastered, dropped a bottle of beer and got in an argument with one of the bouncers. So the bouncer (standard 2 door closet size guy :roll: ) said he doesn't want to see our faces around for two weeks. Seeing how we only go once a week there it wasn't that bad. We just went to the one next door but there the beer was about 2$ while in our regular place the beer was 1$... can't beat beer for a cap 8) .

The old 86? I've never seen one of those hold up. They kicked my friends girlfriend out of the bar on night, she stood outside for 5 minutes... then ran back into the bar past security and punched my friend in the balls. After that she was 86ed for good but after about 2 weeks the bouncers forgot about it and let her crazy ass back in.

I like your friend's girlfriend, she has spunk. I dated a girl like that, we got off on fighting all of the time, to the point that we got kicked out of a lot of bars. The bar where my buddy took a piss was indeed a perma ban, the manager and some of the staff are still there and remember us all. The city I live in has a population of 1.5 million so I am not from a small town so there are plenty of bars to get thrown out of.
 
I was at this thanks-for-working-for-us party at a local student pub once. The booze was free all night but they stopped serving me quite early for some reason. I managed to get my alcohol other ways but just had to get that last one when they closed, so I served myself and this huge dude saw me and smacked me good. I can still go there but now days I pay for my alcohol.
