So called 'Fallout Cascadia' total-conversion of Fallout 4

Все умрут, а я волномут
Which sets the game in Seattle for some reason. So far only two screens and I personally don't believe in the whole thing. If I were them, I'd start first with scripting skills back and then talk about how big it'll be.
But it make some buzz in the internet (articles on kotaku, polygon and other) just for the sake of being first F4 'big mod' ever announced so it worth a discussion.

I played one of the earlier Fallout 3 'DLC-sized' mod (was set in Illinois) but it wasn't so good unlike classic Fallout TCs. Cascadia have all chances to become another flop.

Probably going to feature fan-fiction and other shit, not like I'm planning to reinstall Fallout 4 ever again.
All that waste of precious hard drive space just to see if this total conversion mod would be any good

Pretty much yes. But there's something worth mentioning. From the various articles known, there's 18 of modders actively working on this mod. While in 3/NV's there wasn't such big modding coalition. Only in later days and mostly of veterans working on several projects. Not to mention Molten Clouds team.
It's like CK is so messy you really need an army of modders to actually do something big.

Am I missing something here? What exactly are those screenshots showing that aren't in the base game? I guess the water tower might be new maybe? Those shipping crates are definitely in the base game though. This is like that one kickstarter for a panda paintball game and they only had like 2 random pictures opened up in Unity rather than anything actually related to the game, and then in the video for the kickstarter they just kept saying "Well I'd love to tell you more, but I don't want to spoil it".

Link to Kickstarter I'm talking about: https://www.kickstarter.com/project...da-the-bamboo-talesyour-new-everyday?ref=live

Pretty sure it will be dead within one or two years.
Most people don't seem to realize how long a project of a scale like this takes.

Actually nope, the water tower is near the first Red Rocket gas station, with the doge. (pause for laughs)
And you don't sacrifice story and writing!
Why would shooting mechanic sacrifice story anyway? It's so unfair and stupid. points to bioshock infinite with it's terrible shooting mechanic.
