now what? BIS is bye-bye and so will IPLY in a very short time i guess...so what will become of the Fallout francise? will it be sold or will IPLY take it with them into their graves?
the best news would be offcourse that Troika gets the rights to the Fallout universe, but is that a realistic tought?

where do we go from here?
 
I did see something posted that another company had bought the rights to the game. But I have great doubts. I will continue to look but don't have great expectations.
 
Silver Style, a german game-developing company thinks about buying the rights to Fallouts. But they are afraid of the response from the Fallout Community. Also Troika, Obsidian and (damn, I forgot) want these rights.
 
THere was some post on the interplay board that a game magazine/web site had posted that the rights to Fallout might be sold. But the others who posted after that article said that they couldn't find any such report.

Not sure where I saw this though and I went back to look for it but couldn't find.

I think the best people to speak to would be at interplay.
 
I can't believe that you still think Interplay is worth listening to. Like there's a possibility that they'll actually help us for once! :roll:

Ah well, I figured that it was just some crazy remark made from an Interfool, but I wanted to see with my own eyes.
 
what chance is there really? are we talking about speculation right now, or is there really a good chance that that licence will be sold?
 
The best option would be, of course, to give the license to Troika.
However it is not the most probable.

IMO interplay will go to the grave with Fallout because they have to sell it to smb and so what if they do?

It's hopeless - F3 is as dead as a corpse (non-mobile corpse :) )
 
It seems like veryone wants to do a FO3 except the company that actually was developing it.

I think the best odds to see a FO3 is if Interplay goes down so someone else can pick up the liscense.

Of course, if that happens there's a risk someone with a lot of money (EA) buys the liscense and just sits on it...
