So long...

Briosafreak

Lived Through the Heat Death
As you now know Interplay cancelled Fallout3 and laid off, by my estimation, fourteen members of Black Isle.
The list includes the following people:

Scripters:
* Chad "Briareus" Nicholas
* Chris French
* Chris Heidari

Designers:
* John Deiley
* Damien "Puuk" Foletto
* Jeff Husges

Artists:
* Dany Martinez
* Vera Milosavich

Programmers:
* Jake Devore
* Yuki Furumi
* Mark Murakami
* Dave Vodhanel

Producers:
* Tom French
* Kevin Osburn

For all of them, a few of them members of the NMA forums, others that we know since Fallout2, and others whose work we`ve learned to enjoy in the last months, goes a heartfelt so long from NMA, we hope to cross your paths again.

The other staff members are still working on Interplay, for now.

And all the best to Damien "Puuk" Foletto on his birthday, hope that with your wife and little girl you had a nice time, even in these circunstances.

It's a sad day. Maybe we should give this a couple of days to settle, first.

Quite frankly, I think the ex-BIS staff would love us bashing IPLY more than little bit.

Since I doubt the devs mind (hell, some are joining the bashing), I see little reason not to react from you gut right now. It won't help anything, but it sure can't hurt.

I can think of an exec or two (or three0 I'd like to pummel, strip naked, and dump into the rec yard of Chino state prison...

So sorry, gents. Luck in the future.

Confucius says: "Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall."

Best regards.

Hey Puuk, I'll gladly help. WIth our respective martial arts backgrounds the execs won't know what hit 'em and the inmates... well, I'd better stop now.

Gunslinger, nice sig. It's bad enough I was mourning Lennon today when Puuk and BIS got screwed.

Who has the rights over the license for Fallout 3?

I know a "couple" of game producing companies that would be more than happy to have the whole Fallout 3 team in their company; with the team working on the next Fallout game.

Hey, I know the address. Now that almost all of those I respect are out of the building, I'm thinking that the parking lot could use a few shoulder-high piles from truck deliveries of manure. Too bad it's in the winter, although if IPLY manages to linger until summer, that could be a potential X-Mas in July present.

Just say the word Puuk, we'll wreak havoc!

Already doing my best to start boycotts 8)

But the forums seem to be down right now.....maybe they are "scrubbing" it of unkind posts.

Best luck to you devs out there.

And to the management: (excuse the dutch) een welgemeende fuck you.

Now, if you devs would have some spare time, there are some interesting projects going on (IanOut, Trinity, Badlands, etc ..) ;)

I think i speak for the whole Dutch Fallout community when i say: 'Sterf stelletje tering-leijers!!!!!!'

i really rarely post here.

just wanted wish everyone of the vb-team good luck.

over all the years i followed news about a possible fallout3.

im very sad

And me. This news has got me very depressed. I thought I'd feel better once I'd slept on the news, but I don't. Guess that teaches me for letting something get my hopes up. I guess no more Fallout for a few more years, which is a few more years too long for me and I suspect I'll have moved on if a Fallout sequal is ever made. :cry:

Morons, the lot of 'em.

Well, another disappointment from IPLY. Guess i shouldn't be surprised AS THEY HAVE BEEN DISAPPOINTING AND PLAYING WITH THE FALLOUT FANS FOR YEARS.

Sorry, just had to get that out of my system.

Wishing all the best for those that have lost their jobs from a veteran that get's fed up with execs.
