so since this game has a few of the F1 team working on it...

First time out of the vault
...how much more like the originals in tone will it be?

Also, have they fixed the godawful voice acting? Will there be anything approaching Gizmo's dialogue from Fallout 1, for example.

also i found fallout 3 really weird. You never really got a sense that you were alone traversing the wastes because you always came across some random people every 2 minutes. I doubt they'll remedy this...

You shouldn't doubt a game that hasn't come out as of yet, wait to doubt it until you have lost a ton of money on it, and can't even resell the game for a fraction of the purchase price.

Well you have the old enemies(ex. Geckos, Night kin, Mantis), and weapons and armor, so it will be more "original" than Fallout 3 will ever be.

But for the voice acting i think they have that covered, but i am not that sure.

We will see when the game comes out, but i am sure 110% percent it will be more "Fallout-Y" than Fallout 3, that's all i can bring to mind right now.

but how MUCH mmore fallouty than fallout 3 will it be?

its like one reviewer said if this game is just Fallout 3 wearing a new dress then I don't want that. I don't want a dress do I? no I want a new costume and not a pretty lady underneath but a badass lesbian or something.

The engine is the same, thus the 70% of the game that revolves around combat, animations, graphics, and core mechanics will be very similar if not slightly improved.

The 30% of the game that focuses on story and dialogue will obviously be very different because you are in a different environment and every single character is new (compared to FO3).

When they say "FO3 in a new dress," they are talking about the engine and game mechanics being the same but better. However, if you read the reviews that focus less on the gameplay/combat and more about the story and dialogue you will realize that Obsidian is combining FO1/2 dialogue and conventions (dark humor, moral grayness, etc) with FO3's mass-appealing gameplay and presentation.

In essence, the game will play almost the same as FO3, but the story will make it so you will actually want to play it to the very end the same day you get it.

Wait, you're telling me there are reviewers that actually pay attention to and critique the story and dialogue....bull.

Pics or it never happened.
