I got a couple of MP- ... erm... temporary files containing their music. I never bothered to buy anything of them because I figured most songs kinda fit the same "noisy artsy stuff" scheme. Is that a misimpression?

Yeah, I used to listen to them a lot too. Gets a bit boring after a while tho.
 
The Yeah Yeah Yeahs are good, I like them although I don't usually like much garage music. As an example I hate the Strokes, the Libertines and most of the "the" bands. The thing is that I love bands with girl singers, especially when they have an "interesting" voice (beautiful voices qualifie too). Listen to the LP "Feaver To Tell" and you should get quite a good idea of what I mean. There even is a track on which she simulates an orgasm as if it were lyrics, and it turns out to be very hot. Give the Yeah Yeah Yeahs a chance it definitely is worth it.

About Motörhead hehe I didn't get what the ¨ was for at first.. But some time ago I read an interview of Lemmy Kilmister and in it he axplained that they had chose to spell it Motörhead instead of Motorhead because "ö looks cool", quite simply.. :) So that's that hehe.. Their music remains great though. :D

As for etc. i love them as much as you do, but more seriously that just reflected my lazyness as I couldn't really be asked to go through the mess in my room in order to find all my cd's.. :) The list I posted pretty much reflects which are my favourite bands though, as they were the ones that came to my mind first. :D

edit: as I read this i realise that there are a lot of grammatical and spelling errors. Please ignore them as it is 4 am here and that I have come home from a party not 30 minutes ago.

Hip Hop is like pop: 99% of it is commercialistic crap, you can listen to 1/10 of the 1%, and 1/3 of that I would call "music" (i.e. 0,33333333 %o )

There definitely seems to be a heavy bias towards metal here (well, I think - I don't recognise many of the bands mentioned, but all the ones I do are some flavour of metal). Does anybody listen to anything that doesn't make your ears bleed? ;)

Now I'm not going to list my complete CD collection (because I don't think there's really any point to that, it tells us next to nothing) and I can't state any particular genre that I listen to because I don't.

Instead, I will mention one artist I've recently started listening to.

Cathy Davey. A really quirky Irish singer. Anybody else heard her album "Something Ilk"?

Those Red Army guys have amazing voices so I dig them too.

Not familiar with the other ones but like I said, I am open to anything that does not displease my ears.
 
The only Soviet chorus stuff I know is the national anthem of the USSR and I dig that one.



I kinda like classical music too. Violins tend to kill me.
