So your trekking across the Mojave....

I would go for something that is lightweight, and breathes But is also Warm enough for the hot nights in the desert So:

-Scribe robe Dyed dark blue for night camouflage
- Slave scarf
-hunting rifle scoped
- 10MM pistol
- 200 caps
- Miscellaneous food and water things
- a tent

Don't you mean warm enough for the cold nights in the desert? ;)

Oh how embarrassing lol

Enclave Power Armour and Helmet.

LAER, fully modded.

Plasma defender and .45 Pistol.

I'm always carrying the above with many other things so that would not go anywhere near my weight limit.

Am I doing it right?

Nah, seriously though, I'd wear Merc Troublemaker outfit, fully modded Hunting Rifle, Plasma Defender and .45 Pistol.

I'll leave out the LAER because it could kill god (Not the Dead Money character) in one shot.

I wonder what would happen if we remove sniper rifles from the game.

unless you need a silencer ....

moded Hunting Rifle > Sniper rifle

Agreed.

Never actually play Fallout this method, but if I did;

- Leather Armor, Reinforced (Light, and provide enough protection)
- Ranger Gray Hat
- Authority Glasses
- Chance's Knife
- 9mm pistol (fully upgraded)
- Light Machine gun (fully upgraded) for normal combat
- Sniper rifle (Supressed upgrade) for killing Cazadors and Deathclaws safely.

Ranger Vest Outfit (for style and apparently doesnt associate with NCR) and for rifle: Anti-Materiel or La Longue Carabine and for Sidearms: Mysterious Magnum Or Ranger Sequoia 8-)

As said before, you really don't wanna carry the AM rifle :D
It weighs 13.8kg (in real life, that is) and each bullet is pretty heavy, too.

Not to mention the thing easily breaks your arm if you don't fire it correctly, ie stabilized and prone. Not exactly many opportunies for this. Apart from Power Armor (we're talking lore-wise here, in game PA is so feeble it can get penetrated by combat knives and cowboy repeaters), an ordinary Sniper Rifle with AP rounds will easily pierce anything anyhow. Plus you can silence it, while an AM rifle is so loud it braodcasts a ''GUY WITH BIG GUN IS RIGHT HERE'' message to anyone within a mile.

There are silenced large caliber rifles, though :D
Not in New Vegas, sadly.

I love that thing :D

Water.
Leather Armor (Lightweight would be preferable, but I don't have the caravan pack).
Lever-action shotgun with ~40 rounds.
.45 pistol with ~40 rounds.
Binoculars.
Dan's Hat, glasses/sunglasses.

The term is suppressed. :eng101:

Silencers are a thing of movie, in reality you buy suppressors. Then load your gun with 'cold' or 'quiet' ammo. If you really wanna be quiet.

White scientist scrubs
Reading glasses
Sterilizer glove, for close range combat and cooking.
10mm pistol w/laser sight attachment ~60 rounds
Various empty syringes/forceps/scalpels etc
Vodka, for sterilisation and happy times.
5x Stimpacks
Copies of Todays Physician and Programmer's Digest stuffed inside the scrubs for reading on the toilet or when performing exploratory surgery.

Hunting Rifle, Scoped, and suppressed if possible
.44 Mag
Knife
Leather Armor
Good Hat
prescription Sunglasses
Water, Water, and a water filter
Some sort of Tent or Shelter, as I would Move at night, and shelter in the day to preserve water. Water is heavy as heck in real life, so some sort of water filter would be key. Other nice thing is that I would worry about staying Warm instead off cooling off.

Other things that would be nice
Simpacks/First Aid Kit
small bit of Vodka for cleaning cuts.
trade tools (When I got to a settlement I would hope to have some service or goods to trade for items.)

Cleaning cuts, suuuure :D

Well, weapon wise I'd be going the energy weapon route.
So a plasma rifle, recharger pistol, and maybe a 10mm pistol for backup.

Probably wear reinforced leather armor, it's light but provides adequate protection for a lot of what's in the Mojave.

Plenty of water of course, some cooking supplies. Maybe a stimpack or two.

Oh, and I'd totally make a bandolier for microfusion cells.

LOL - I don't drink, so the vodka would be used for cuts, or trade.

I also realized I forgot to add Ammo, Though for ammo usage, having a Cowboy repeater and a revolver of the same ammo type would be highly useful.

Of course, being a Ghoul would be a interesting issue. Live forever on the edges of society, and always worried that at some point you will go feral.
