Something funny I noticed in Fallout New Vegas.

Actually, having Science being the primary skill to maintain / repair energy weapons could be a nice idea.

Science then becomes essential for hackers and EW-users (to keep the guns in good order) as well as other "techie" stuff. "Repair" becomes about more mundane stuff (repairing machinery, maintaining normal guns, etc).

This right here is a DAMN good idea! I love this, and would be very happy to see it implemented. I also like John's idea for classifying weapons. You make some very valid points as far as what the game infers, so it really doesn't make sense there being an EW skill--except for maybe weapons like the CAWS from New Vegas, but even then it's basically a laser assault rifle. Honestly, some of you at NMA should be behind designing Fallout 4 damnit!
