Something to think about. A few words about Fallout 3 .

I tried to give F3 my attention after playing it for a few hours, but I lost interest very quickly right after exiting Vault 101. The first post in this thread sums up my own feelings about F3.

The game is just so poorly designed that I see little resemblance to the beloved classic Fallout games. The only positive thing I can say about this game is that I do like the Pipboy, but that was it! I pretty much sat at my desk laughing my way out of the Vault at how horrible it really is. Ridiculous. How does this even pass as "good" game design? Seriously...

Drawing distance is good, I give you that. But the closer you get to stuff the uglier it gets.

I thought it was because I was playing at low settings. Apparently not. I haven't seen something like this in games for quite a while. Is this game really supposed to be a new-gen game with DX10 support?? Some DX7 games looked better in close-up.

No, it does not have DX10 support and never claimed to.

Eh? Really? My bad then...

...Which leads me to another question: how can a game without DX10 support be counted "on par" with the other modern games that do?
