The cartoon wasn't accurate to the comics, at all. Venom was brought back from another dimension by Spiderman.

Thor was involved too. Y'know, the god with the hammer.

Well, if its any help to my weak and pathetic cause, Raimi is goin with my take, and for the next movie, Jameson will be bringing back a certain friend from outer space.

Venom is too complicated. It'd take it's own movie even if they went with that story. Probably two movies, actually.

I don't think so. They are making billions with spiderman. 90s were the batman's decade. They produced many movies and animations with batman and they are going to do the same thing with spiderman. They are only going to stop when people get tired of watching it.

There's a bit more to filmmaking than that.

Raimi has said several times that he lacks the energy to make more than three. He said he doesn't want to drive the franchise into the ground, and if they make a fourth one it would take a hell of a lot to get him back.

Kirsten Dunst has agreed, and is definitely calling it quits after part 3.

Tobey Maguire said the only way he'd do more than 3 is if the script was excellent, and took the characters somewhere. He also stated he wouldn't feel comfortable with anyone but Dunst and Raimi.
