I bet it was fun - BTW isn't the area still radiated ?
but you can take tourist trips there.

you get more radiation flying long distance in an airplane than overthere in most places. but you have to be very careful in other places. that's why you gotta carry a counter. :)

Awesome!

But wait, ins't dangerous to go around Chernobyl? They might doom their children! Or get cancer due to the radiation! And what are those letters?! Are they russian runes that are used by the school of Commie-Magic?!

As someone else already stated, you get more radiation by flying long trips in airplanes then taking a stroll around chernobyl, the most dangerous places are certain buildings where the radiation has gotten stuck :P

Great pics. I often shudder when I see the word "cosplay" but in this case, it wasn't a fat stormtrooper.

extremely cool. russians are the shit. when i read cosplay, i always think "fat comicbook store guys (from simpsons) dressing as sailor moon". HAHA AMERIFAGS

also, a snork!

Nice pictures, but these guys seem to be more than mere cosplayers ...

Considering their amount of weaponry and gear I'd say they might be professionals who have combined a field exercise with some creative thinking and gearing to produce these photos.

As I don't speak Russian though I have no idea :)

Also:

I know what LARPing is, and thought this to fall under that term but the term cosplay is new to me (After having read the relationship hilarity thread by the Vault Dweller I thought it meant cyber-sex or something ... (And have also seen other posts that have strengthened my impression of this)

I realise however that the whole "Costume play" term is actually more like theatre or reenactment ... So I guess cosplay can become LARP when you add a story and try to play a character live instead of just acting out a predefined scene?

Any explanations would be welcomed ...
