I agree, Anakin is WAY too whiney, couldn't lucas have found a less abrasive path to the dark side for him?
I mean, Anakin's descent in the dark side is apparently a ramping up in annoyance factor until they kick him out of the jedi order for being a whiney bitch.
Damn you Lucas, you did Anakin HAVE to start out as a whiney brat? Couldn't he at least have been somewhat noble to begin with and then have some events (like his mom's death) that move him towards the less noble path of the dark side? Could it be that my assumption that the path to the dark side involved giving in to your emotions (good start with the tusken raider murder and the hot Padme sex which didn't make it to the movie, but ended up in Lucas' private directors cut) and hatred, as opposed to just whining when something doesn't go your way?
